But first, this morning in Portland we ate at Tim Hortons, they are everywhere up here. It's like Dunkin Doughnuts meets Panera. Speaking of Dunkin Doughnuts...there are more here than anywhere on Earth. There were 5 in less than 5 miles on one street. Two of them were less than 500 feet apart. These people love doughnuts. Anyway, Tim Hortons was good.
We spent most of our time in Salem at The House of Seven Gables. This is a shot of the gardens in front of the house. They wouldn't allow pictures inside the house, but if you're ever up in Salem, it's worth a look. I've never read the famous novel, but I still enjoyed it. I'll probably read it soon because of our visit.
You can see 2 of the gables here..it's the peak that meets up with the top of the roof I suppose.
A great view of the harbor from the grounds.
Me, in front of one of the doors, we didn't actually get to go through that door.
You can see the whole house here. It was kinda cool.
Of course we ate at a local diner. It was called The Witch's Brew, this is their cool logo in the window. It was pretty good food, your typical diner food.

It was a cute town, I wish we could have spent more time there.
We're staying just outside of Boston, where every road is a toll road. And...there is no food anywhere. So we ended up here..at Bugaboo Creek Steak House, which is sort of like a LongHorn or something.

Oh, except for the TALKING Buffalo on the wall. Yeah, it's the northern version of the Rainforest Cafe.
Anyway, tomorrow we're spending the day at the New England Aquarium. Then tomorrow evening we're driving to Harwich.
