Coraline is 12 Weeks Old!

So, we're condensing weeks 11 and 12 together.  It's been very busy at Casa de Rodgers.

Coraline is pretty much settled in, and moving up the ranks.  Puppy class is going well, and she seems to get along with other dogs, and children..so maybe she'll be the example for Oliver at some point.

Aster tolerates her presence..but isn't afraid to thump her if she gets too close..it also doesn't seem to deter her from playing with the kitties.

Standing in her food and water bowls.

Raccoon killer.

She likes to be on the couch with me while I play on the computer.

Look at that face!

Oliver is really a very good sport.  He looks all ratty from playing with Cora, she bites his fur and they slobber all over each other...it's gross.

She says, I prefer to sleep on this pillow on the sofa over my pretty purple bed in my crate thankyouverymuch.

Here's a little video cuteness.  If you listen, you can hear her bark and growl...they love love love to run in the yard.

Cora is 10 Weeks

Team Rodgers has been busy busy.  Our new tiny terror has been keeping us all on our toes.
Our first Puppy Class was Saturday...she's going to be the star in no time.  She's very smart..and she'll let you know when she wants something.
She loves Oliver and her kitty brothers.  They don't really know what to think of her still.
She's learning which bed is hers and which is Oliver's and she prefers which ever one he wants.  She's already so bossy!
We've had a bit of great weather here, so we've been taking advantage of it by playing outside.

We have a rock bench in our yard...it's become her "base".  She loves to hide under it.

You have to catch her to bring her back inside.

She can already sit...what a smart girl!

This one cracks me up!  She's attacking Oliver...he plays back and makes a lot of noise, but he's always so careful not to hurt her.

Team Rodgers is so lucky to have such good babies.

They play so rough, which is great for me, because they are both sleeping right now!

Cora is 9 Weeks Old

Well, we've been having lots of fun here at Casa de Rodgers.  Cora is 9 weeks old..and she's already bigger I think.  Her personality is really starting to come out..and frankly, she's going to be running this show in no time.

She still loves Oliver very much..she's not afraid to take him or anyone else on at any time.

She's a little bit of a klutz and a little bit goofy.

She was barking at him, because she wanted to play some more.

A little worn out, she looks almost sweet...don't be fooled, she's a pistol!

She's curious about everything.  We're really going to have our hands full.  Once we can get some training underway, I think she's going to be really smart..the trick is going to be getting her to mind.  She's got a mind of her own, and she likes things to go her way...it's going to be a long ride..but a cute one.

A Cora Update, and Mobile Blogging

So I'm taking a cue from a friend, and I'm trying out mobile blogging. I'm not actually mobile, I'm currently in my basement, watching Family Guy. But really the point is, that most of my pictures of Cora are on my phone. It's really a pain to e-mail them then download them then upload them to the blog...so hopefully this is easier...let's find out.

It doesn't look like I can write about each photo..
But the gist of the photos are absolute cuteness. Oliver and Cora are getting along wonderfully.

They love each other very much. She's a tiny terror, Oliver is going to have his hands full when she gets a bit bigger.

She sleeps about 3 hours at a time at night. It could be worse, but we can't wait for it to get better. I've decided a puppy is at least as hard as having a baby, sure with a baby you have to get up, but you don't have to go outside. In case you haven't been outside lately at 3 AM, it's cold, really freaking cold! And for a while a baby can't chew up everything you own.. At least she's been pretty good on that front for now. She loves her crate so far, and things are pretty much going really well.

I'm definitely enjoying my days off, even though it's not very relaxing chasing her all over, but she melts my heart...totally worth it!

Meet Coraline!

The wait is finally over!!  She's finally here.  Meet our new baby Cora!

She. Is. Adorable!  If you don't think so, then you must have a sad existence.  She's a pomeranian like Oliver, and she's a special color...well genetically it's a pattern, but that's neither here nor there.  She's a blue merle.  She's 8 weeks old and very sweet, but spunky and independent as well.  We are so excited to see who she grows up to be.

Oliver likes her so far.  He is really happy when they play.  He gets a little rough, but she's holding her own so far.  Chippy isn't very happy about it yet...neither are Bean or Aster.  They'll come around..hopefully :-)

She loves to play with toys, and with Oliver. She seems to like both of us...she follows us around the house. We're working on teaching her what her name is.  I think Oliver thinks his new name is Cora.

She really does look like a baby raccoon....right off the Animal Planet.

A little worn out after exploring her new home and playing with her new big brother.

She loves this toy.  You can hear her tiny growl as she tears up the raccoon.  Oliver is playing "Nanny Dog" he watches her really closely to make sure everything is under control.   I think they are going to be fast friends.

I'm pretty sure the blog will be hijacked by this tiny terror...sorry.  But you can look forward to tons of cuteness to brighten your day.

Happy New Year from all the Rodgers!
