My Deadly Sin is Sloth

So I know I've been really lazy and haven't posted anything for a while, but in my defence I was busy this weekend..sort of. On Saturday night we went to see Riverdance at the Independence Events Center. A friend of ours has season tickets to the hockey games, and can reserve those seats for other events. (Thanks Debbie!) They're really nice seats too..on the special upper level.
It was an awesome show. We saw it a few years ago at Starlight, and it was amazing then too.
So I added a spiffy new button on my side menu, it's for My Pink Stamper. I really do love her Cricut tutorials...without her I wouldn't be able to use mine. :-)
So really the point of this is..I'll have something soon..I hope. I've been working on our vacation scrapbook..and a painfully slow rate, but I have St. Patrick's Day cards to make. So look for those. And you should check out some of the other blogs I follow if your looking for some good stuff to look at.
That's all for now.

Valentines Day Cards

I didn't make that many Valentine's Day cards this year, but I'll post the ones I did make.

This one is for my sister, and her kitty T-bone. I used the Cricut to cut out the hearts and put some little pearls on them...and on her bow. The stamp is from the Wild Sprouts series at The Greeting Farm.

Ha! Since I had to color him black his eyes got colored over, so I had to make them myself..and they're a little freaky looking, but oh well. I used some pop dots to raise her up off the card. I did the same with the hearts, but in a cascade sort of way. The small heart is level with the card surface, and the larger hearts are raised up. It looks pretty cool in person.

I used another heart on the inside.

I made this one for my mom. The stamp is from the Miss Anya series, of course, from The Greeting Farm. I used the Cricut to cut out the white and red place for the sentiment. And the heart flourish. I put red and white stickles on as much as I could, because I love them.

I used my Cuttlebug on the red background. The mosaic tiles are probably the coolest things ever. I saw them at Hobby Lobby and immediately thought of my mom. We used to own a mosaic shop, in case you didn't know.

Yay stickles!

Anyway, that's what I have for Valentine's Day. I already posted my husband's card earlier, that I made for a Farm Fresh Friday contest a few weeks ago.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day.

Valentines Day Treat Pouches

So Valentine's Day is this weekend, so the next few posts will be concerning that subject..

Since it's Friday, and I won't be working on Sunday I'm taking treats to work today.

I made sour cream containers filled with Hershey's kisses for each of my coworkers..yeah, don't you wish you worked with me...

I took a few pictures so you could really see what they look like. This is from the top, obviously this one is Adam's.
These were really easy to make, however, since I made them yesterday the glue is starting to come apart, I hope they hold long enough for me to get them to work. I guess I'll need another stronger glue if I ever want to make these again...any suggestions?

I made different colors for everyone. These don't have the name tags on them yet, but you get the idea.
YUM! Everybody needs a little emergency chocolate.
I have some extra candy that doesn't fit into the containers, so I made a little box thing to hold the extra. I made 2, but I only took pictures of one. I made this with my Cricut (it's pronounced cricket..like the bug..just in case you didn't know..you know who you are.) I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.

I just stamped something simple onto one of the sides. It was really easy too.

I have some Valentine cards that I made, I'll post them later, I want to make sure they get to their destination before I put them up here, so there is no sneak peak.

Cupcake Cards for LeBam Bakery

Today's post is brought to you by the letter C..for Cricut.

I used my Sweet Treats cartridge for the cards today.

I made some cards for my sister-in-law..who has a bakery in Wisconsin. She makes some amazing cakes and cupcakes..you should check out some of her work over at LeBam Bakery. That adorable kid on the web page is my niece Mabel.

She was looking for something "retro" with blue, pink, brown and orange...so this is what I came up with. Some of the hearts have stickles on them.

I think these are the cutest things ever! This one has stickles on the heart. And chocolate icing!

Here's another shot of one standing up on my desk. These cards are 5 inches from the top of the heart to the bottom of the card.

You can see it's a card. I left them blank so she can write what ever she wants on the inside.

These were really fun to make. I'd love to do some more stuff like it in the future.

Club Anya & Friends Monday Mania-Easel Card

First I have to say that my snow globe card won the ATS Wednesday Challenge! And I'm crazy excited about it! I had never made one before, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out for a first time...and it won! Woot!

So now I'm on a contest kick. So today I've made a card for Monday Mania at the Club Anya and Friends Blog. This week's challenge is to make an easel card...

I've never done one of those before either, so..you gotta love you tube and all the wonderful crafters that film how to do it.

So here's what I made...

I'm really wishing for spring, so I used the super fun Wild Sprout and lots of happy paper.

Here's a little closer picture of her, I used stickles on her flower and dress.

Here you can see it's like an easel, if you've never seen one before.

Here's the inside with a simple sentiment. It came from a Gingersnaps set from ATS.

So there you go. I am loving all these different card shape challenges..they are so much fun.

Have a great day...I am. :-)

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge-Snow Globes

So you probably figured out that the CHA Relay didn't pan out..well it wasn't my fault. They cut the contest short because too many people couldn't read the directions and figure out how to do it properly. So some entries were being missed. So I missed out of 2 free digis...boo.

So I've moved on..to the ATS Wednesday Challenge...

This weeks challenge is Snow Globes. I've never made one, and it's a good thing they had a link to some directions.

This is the front if it was flat on the table.

It has clear acetate as the front, so it actually looks like a snow globe. This was really fun to make. And I think it turned out pretty cute.

This is the inside. The sentiment and falling snow stamps are an AmyR set from ATS. The boy is from the winter kit also from ATS.

Maybe all my Christmas cards next year will be snow globe cards..maybe.

I'm working on a couple other challenges, so look out for those.
