The last day of 2009, and my mother-in-law's birthday..so it's only fitting that I post today.
Of course I made her a card, so here it is.
The stamp is Miss Anya from the Rain, Snow, Shine set. I colored her with my copics, and the fur trim is flocking. It looks better in person. I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders to make the swirlies..I'm not really sure how I lived without that machine for so long.
That brings me to my other new machine, and what I can do with it...
I made a little birthday box. I used the Cricut to cut the box out as well as all the letters. I stuck a few flowers on it, and I think it turned out pretty good.
We filled it with candy, salt water taffy is her favorite. I hope she likes it. We aren't able to join them for lunch today to give it to her, but Jonathan is going to pass it to his dad at work, and he can take it home to her. I'm excited to hear what she thinks.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year.
See you next year..haha.

A Quick Thank You Card
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I did. I am now the proud new owner of a Cuttlebug machine..AND..a Cricut Expressions. My husband gave me the first, and my mother-in-law the second. Of course I've already been playing with them.
I needed to make a thank you card, so I broke out the Cuttlebug.
I embossed on the blue paper and used my glaze pen on the raised parts.
You can't really see, but I stamped "thank you" in white ink. It looks much better in person.
I just wanted to post something really quick...there will be more new creations from the Cuttlebug and Cricut..I'm pretty excited.
See you later.

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge-Nativity
Since this is probably the last Christmas challenge, and since I've been crazy busy making Christmas cards, it's a perfect challenge to participate in.
The theme is Nativity, so this stamp is perfect. It's the Reason for the Season from All That Scraps. I colored it with my Copics. I'm pretty sure the paper is all from Hobby Lobby.
It's Christmas Eve, so I've got a lot to do still.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday.

Christmas Tree and Christmas Kitties
I promised some Christmas tree and kitty pictures, so that is what I'll be delivering today. Some of these pictures were on the Christmas cards Jonathan and I sent out this year...yeah we're those people..we don't have any kids, so we use cats...
Any way, this is our tree, it looks a bit different now, there's more stuff on it, after we went to Sam's club, we found some more stuff that matches the theme we already have..it looks pretty awesome. There's more stuff under it too :-)
We spent a long time trying to take these pictures, because cats just don't want to cooperate. This is Aster by himself in the sleigh we borrowed from Jonathan's mother.
This is my winner, Bean being so cute in the Santa hat. He was the only one we could get to wear that hat. This is why he gets to stay..because he's do darn cute.
Chippy was the most difficult, he didn't want to participate at all.
It was tough to get all three of them to sit together. We wanted so badly to have them sitting with the sleigh, but it just wouldn't happen.
In the end we got them all on the table together, mostly looking in the same direction.
Our cards turned out really cute, I think.
I'm ready for this weekend, I've finished my mother's Christmas cards, so maybe I'll put a few more of them up, maybe not..because you can see them all in my Scrapjazz gallery. I'm glad that I can get back to some other projects, because you see, I haven't made the scrapbook from out New England trip, and that is going to be a lot of work.
Better get to it.

Fluffles the Cat Card
Happy Monday everyone!
It's very cold here today, but the weekend wasn't too bad. Jon and I got a lot of Christmas shopping done this weekend. I am hoping to finish it during the week, because I definitely don't want to go out next weekend, it was too crazy.
Any way, I've been very busy trying to finish these Christmas cards...I'm getting closer..but I still have a few more.
So today I have a Fluffles the Cat card I made. I colored him with my Copics, and he looks like Bean, who is very bad most of the time, but so cute.
Actually Aster is the one who is in the tree most of the time. I'll put some pictures of our tree up in the next few days.
This is the inside, I went simple because this card if for a man, and ribbons and pretty things are frowned upon.
I'm going back to my craft area to work some more before I have to go to work today. See ya later.

More Christmas Cards
I realize it's been a long time since I've done anything on here..but seriously, I've been working...see..3 cards.
I really love these digi fairies from The Greeting Farm..they've created one for each season, this is the Autumn fairy, and I love it for this Christmas Card.
I'm pretty pleased how this card turned out as well. The stamp is from the Reason for the Season over at All That Scraps.
This card started out life as something totally different, but I'm glad I changed it, this looks way better. I don't know if you can tell but all the snowflakes are sparkly with Stickles. I did the border with a Martha Stewart punch.
This picture didn't turn out the way I wanted (big surprise). But the letters are embossed, I used white ink and clear embossing powder. Also, the snow under the presents is Stickles covered with white flocking powder..it actually looks pretty cool in person. It's like sparkly fuzzy snow.
That's all for now..hopefully more to come soon.

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge-Sketch Challenge
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a good day with lots of food. We just got back from my family festivities. We had food with my mom's family today at 1 and food with my dad's family at 5, so we're all fooded out.
But yesterday I made this card for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge. It was a sketch challenge. And I used a Swiss Pixie stamp.
The ribbon came from Michael's and it matches the color of the scarf really nice in person.
I stamped something on the inside, because I liked it.
That's it for now, I've got hot cocoa, so I must be going.

Elf Shoe Card
I'm still busy busy working on Christmas cards, and this is what I have today.
I've seen someone do this somewhere, but can't remember where. Elf shoes! How cute is this...
The stamp is from the Ollie and Griselda Halloween set over at All That Scraps, I made Halloween cards with it as witch shoes.
Yes, those are real jingle bells on the shoes..so when you shake the card they make noise.
This is the inside, I don't have a saying or anything..yet, I'm waiting on the approval from the boss lady.
Short post today, that's all I have for now.

Two for One Special
I know it's been a while but I've been busy, so today you are getting a 2 for 1 special..lucky you.
My mom's birthday is Monday, and she came over today so I can put the card up now that she has it. She works as a nurse, so Nurse Anya from The Greeting Farm seemed appropriate.
I embossed the Happy Birthday..it was just a wood mounted stamp from Hobby Lobby I stamped a bunch of times with embossing ink. I can't keep it from smudging, well it's not smudging, it's extra powder I can't get off the cardstock...I have an embossing buddy..but it doesn't seem to help. But in this case the smudging matches the paper I used, so it worked out.
This is the inside, I wrote something fun and witty..ha.
These are the Copics I used to color Anya..not very many this time. I always use the colorless blender..it makes it look like I can color in the lines.
Now for the 2 part. My mother has asked me to make Christmas cards for the people she works with, which I said I would do since I wasn't going to make my own this year..we're sending out one of those photo card things this year for the first time.
Anyway, so the reason she came over today was to sort of plan out what she wanted. So in the future you'll be seeing more Christmas cards for my mom.
This is the first one that is finished. I have lots of pieces and such of many more cards in the works. But this one was easy to finish up today. She just basically wanted something with religious tones. This stamp is from All That Scraps. It's Cookie Crumbs Reason for the Season.
I used lots of star brads.
This is the inside, I haven't decided if I will use one of the sentiments that came with the set or not..I'm waiting for mother feedback. Go figure.
Anyway, that's all for now. I have lots more things to be working on, and since we have no plans for today I hope to finish up some more stuff.

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge-Thanksgiving
The challenge for this week's All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge was to make something Thanksgiving related.
I colored this Sugarplums image a while back, I was using it to practice my copic coloring, AmyR at Prairie Paper & Ink did an image like this, so I looked at it and tried to copy it because I just love how she colors...ha who would have thought I'd say that as an adult, about another adult.
Anyway, so I've had this image, and I decided I'd use it to make a quick Thanksgiving card.
The image obviously came from All That Scraps. Sugarplums Pumpkin Emma.
All of the fall stamps were very cute, but this one was my favorite.
The ribbon came from Michael's. All the paper came from Hobby Lobby, it's just plain cardstock, I didn't use any patterned paper.
The inside is pretty plain too, I cut out the pumpkins to add a little something extra. I mostly just wanted room to write something..I'm planning to send this to a friend.
That's all for now, it's time for work.

Swiss Pixie Christmas Card
I apologize for taking so long to post something new..but I've been busy. We spent this last Saturday at my in-laws helping them with their HUGE landscaping project. Then we had dinner on Sunday with my mom...so not a lot of time for card making.
I've gotten a lot of new stamps lately, and I've been coloring them and such, so today I made a Christmas card with one of my favorites.
I just love this stamp. It's a Swiss Pixie holiday stamp from All That Scraps.
I made the ornament with some shiny silver paper I had. I glued 2 pieces together to make it stronger, punched a hole in it and made the hook with floral wire. I think it turned out pretty cute.
You can see the hook a little better here. The paper I used is from My Minds Eye. The ribbon is from Michael's or Hobby Lobby or something.
This is the inside, the sentiment came from the Winter Stamp Kit from All That Scraps, but they were on special a few weeks ago, but haven't been released as separate stamps yet.
These are the Copics I used to color the image. I'm still perfecting the picture taking of these markers. They are shiny so they glare really easy.
That's pretty much all I have for now, hopefully I can make a few more cards this week.

Halloween Dinner
We had a blast last night. Dinner was delicious and we had a great game night with our friends Brandon and Lori.
No Halloween would be complete without spiderwebs.
Are you scared yet?
We eat by only candle light.
I go to great lengths to collect cool candles.
Bloody glasses...you don't mind do you?
It just looks gross...but it was delicious.
Spiderbread. Yum!
Blood and worms to go on the Feet of Meat.
Feet of Meat..so good!
Spiderweb cheesecake..it was my first cheesecake attempt..it was a beautiful thing!
The pumpkins we carved at Jonathan's parents house.
You know you want to make your own feet of meat. I'm making some for my coworkers on Thursday..I hope they like it as much as I do.
