Aurora is 7 Months Old!

Woah!  This keeps happening..she's getting so big, and so smart..it's insane!

7 months!  It just sounds so old!!  She's already too good for "baby" things..like snuggling!

Her and Aster have some sort of special love bond...it's really cute.  He doesn't like anyone..and he's the last one I expected to crawl in her lap.

Still stylish!

She had her first food, sweet potatoes.  She likes them.  She's pretty much eaten everything we've given her.
Our first trip to the zoo.

She's mobile.  At the time she could only go backwards...she's moving forwards now..we're in trouble.

Still working on the selfie..

Can you see those jellies...adorable!

Her first piece of art..she'll be famous some day I'm sure.

We tried the sippy cup..and she hates it.  We're still working on it...she still hates it.

She's literally more fun every single day.  She is the best!  Pictures don't even begin to capture her..but we try.

Aurora's 6 Month Photo Shoot

You can't even handle this right now!  Today the disk with Aurora's pictures finally came!  She was a total turd all day, but the images came out pretty great anyway.  I can't recommend our photographers enough.  If you are in need, do consider The Mullikin Studio.  They are wonderful people!
These are some of my favorites...it's pretty hard to choose, but I'll spare you all of them...unless you ask me..then I'll make you look!

I love love love this one.

We're such a happy family!

Easter 2014

Aurora had her first Easter this year!  This was of course the perfect occasion to get a pretty little Easter dress.  Don't be fooled, her dad picked this one out, he loves Easter dresses.
Her first Easter was pretty great!  The Easter Bunny visited and left things for her both at home and at Grammy's home.  She got tons of great stuff, like new spoons and bibs, several books, an adorable outfit for summer, and he even left some sunglasses at Grammy's..he must know we're going to break out the pool as soon as it's a touch warmer.
The family all went down to Grammy's house and we had a great meal together. We went down the day before to help set up, and we managed to find some time to take some really cute pictures in her really cute dress.  These are some of my favorites.

Her favorite part was the empty plastic eggs.

Isn't that little bench adorable!  Her Granddad got it for her.  Thanks Granddad!

We went down by the lake to get some shots in the shade of the willow tree.  You can't see the tree, but this picture is cute anyway.

I know I promised 6 month photos..we're still waiting on the disk to arrive in the mail.  She'll be 7 months old on Thursday, we'll have a recap of the month later this week...it's been the best one yet!  She is more fun every single day!

UCM Graduation Card

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter (I'm currently uploading all the cuteness that went down, so look for that) But in the meantime..
I've been pretty busy making invitations for my sister's graduation party.  She's graduating this year with a double degree, one in Biology and one in Modern Languages.  It's pretty impressive, so we need to PAR-TAY!

UCM in Warrensburg is black and red.  Go Mules.

The card itself is pretty simple..it becomes a pain when you make a bunch of them.  I love the bow on this one.

Now that these invites are off my table, I can get back to Aurora's baby book.
Oh, by the way, her 6 month professional pictures are back, so I'll be sharing them soon! AND this week she turns 7 months old!  Shut the front door...I don't know where this time is going but we're all loving it for sure!
Stay tuned for more.
Same bat time, same bat channel.

Aurora is 6 Months Old!

I'm not sure when this happened..but it did!

She is SO big!  She can sit all by herself...and we're going to start food this weekend..I'm excited!

We got her a highchair, and she loves to be a part of the family at the table!

Her first St. Patrick's Day.

We are always stylish!

Our first trip to Target riding in the basket, she's a fan.

See, sitting all by herself.  Sometimes she's lazy and forgets she can do it.

We've got professional pictures tomorrow, I am so excited to show you!  Her outfits are adorable!  I hope we get some good ones.

Baby Charlotte Card

It's been a little while since I've posted a card.
A friend of mine recently had a baby girl.  They named her Charlotte!  Obviously I'm a fan of the name!

I love this paper, and I think this card was the perfect way to use it.

I love this little sheep.  I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but I put some flocking on it to make it fuzzy.  It's so cute!

The inside is pretty plain, plenty of room for my nice letter!

I'm so happy for their family.  They've got 2 beautiful girls now.

Speaking of beautiful girls...stay tuned for my girl's 6 month catch up.

NADAC Agility Trial 3-14-14

It feels so good to be back in the ring!
We haven't been to a trial since July, while I was still pregnant with Aurora.
We've been trying to practice, but we had so much snow, being in the backyard has been difficult.  We were only able to compete one day in this trial.  We wanted to use is as a little break back into the sport.  I tried really hard to have no expectations, since we've been benched for so long.

Since we only entered one day, we went ahead and entered all 3 events for Friday night.  We usually don't ever Weavers..because weave poles are Oliver's weakest obstacle. He's been doing really well in the yard, for being so out of practice.  He gets the first set with no problem.  However, the other 2 sets cause some trouble.  We obviously didn't qualify, but it gives me hope that with enough practice we just might have a Q or two coming our way on this event.

Touch N Go is Oliver's best event.  We've advanced to the Open level.  This course was a little tricky.  The last hoop of the course is also obstacle number 7 or so..right in the middle..I was worried he'd think he was finished..he did, but it didn't slow him down much.  We finished with a great run that was 7 seconds under course time!  We took a Q and 1st place!  So happy!

Tunnelers is a sort of take it or leave it event for Oliver.  I was hoping since it was Friday night instead of Sunday like usual that he'd be a little more fired up and I'd get some good speed.  Well, it did work out that way.  It was a nice course that flowed well for us.  We were only under by 2 seconds..but that's good enough for a Q and 1st place at the Open level.

I love it when we have a great day at a trial.  Oliver really pulled out the stops and showed everyone that he's an agility dog today.
I couldn't be more proud of my boy!
We can't wait for the next trial in May.
