Easter 2014

Aurora had her first Easter this year!  This was of course the perfect occasion to get a pretty little Easter dress.  Don't be fooled, her dad picked this one out, he loves Easter dresses.
Her first Easter was pretty great!  The Easter Bunny visited and left things for her both at home and at Grammy's home.  She got tons of great stuff, like new spoons and bibs, several books, an adorable outfit for summer, and he even left some sunglasses at Grammy's..he must know we're going to break out the pool as soon as it's a touch warmer.
The family all went down to Grammy's house and we had a great meal together. We went down the day before to help set up, and we managed to find some time to take some really cute pictures in her really cute dress.  These are some of my favorites.

Her favorite part was the empty plastic eggs.

Isn't that little bench adorable!  Her Granddad got it for her.  Thanks Granddad!

We went down by the lake to get some shots in the shade of the willow tree.  You can't see the tree, but this picture is cute anyway.

I know I promised 6 month photos..we're still waiting on the disk to arrive in the mail.  She'll be 7 months old on Thursday, we'll have a recap of the month later this week...it's been the best one yet!  She is more fun every single day!

Fluffles Easter Cards

Easter is almost here, and I've mailed out my cards..so here they are.

I really love this Fluffles image. I colored him with Copics and used SU! paper. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Hobby Lobby. I used my Cuttlebug for the embossing. And a really cute border punch across the bottom.

Hopefully you can see the border better here.

Here's a close-up of the image. He looks like my Bean..but probably doesn't cause as much trouble.

Here's my whole fleet of Easter cards. They all came together really easily once I had the images colored..that took a lot longer than I thought it would.

This is on the inside of some of them..I forgot to take a picture of the other sentiment..but it said something to the effect of having a blessed Easter..

I'm looking forward to Easter. We're planning on going to my mom's for Easter brunch..yum!

Easter Easel Card

It's time for a little Easter spirit. I'm not putting up my Easter cards just yet, but I did make a little extra card for someone..and I think it's hilarious.
It's based on this T-shirt at Snorgtees.com. My sister has this shirt so I made this card for her.
You have to look at the t-shirt first, or this just isn't going to be funny.

I laughed the entire time I was putting this card together. I used the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge. And to make the "bites" I used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die. (yeah I'm clever!)

The inside stamp I'm pretty sure came from Hobby Lobby. I used some buttons to hold the card open.

I've been making a few more easel cards, because they're really easy and I love the way they look.
That's all I have for now, I should put some house pictures up soon (yeah we bought a house!) and maybe early next week I'll post the Easter cards I made for my family.
