Baby Shower Thank You Card

A couple weeks ago my sister threw me an awesome baby shower!
Lots of friends and family came and we got some super great stuff for Baby Rodgers.
I made these thank you cards for everyone.

Our nursery is orange and gray, so I stuck with that theme. The orange background is hand stamped with white ink.

There were 4 animals that I stamped, so everyone's was different.

The bow was actually the worst part, but I think it turned out really cute.

Baby Rodgers is expected in just 3 weeks!  We're getting very excited, and can't wait to put some photos of our nursery up here..and even better, cute snuggly baby pictures!

Flower and Sparkle Thank You Card

Today is Thursday, which is almost Friday, which I can't wait for. I'm over this week. It's payday this weekend, and that is the best kind of weekend.

Last weekend was my birthday. It was an awesome day. I finally got to that camera class that my friend and I signed up for several months ago. Jonathan took Oliver to agility class. We took a 3 hour nap and went to dinner. Win!

Anyway, so I got a nice birthday card in the mail from my grandmother, so I made her a Thank You card.

I recently got some new stamps, and the new 2011 In Colors, so that's what I used on this card.

It's a two step stamp, which I think I'm now addicted to...and I added lots of sparkle!

I probably shouldn't have mentioned that I just took a camera class...because this is not a good photo...I'm having a hard time making it work for such close shots...but I'll get it eventually. Anyway, I don't know if you can see, but I stamped the same thing very lightly on the inside.

I have another card waiting in the wings, for a birthday that's tomorrow. In other news, I finally finished our Year 2 of marriage scrapbook, and now I'm moving on the year 3, the current year...I just might get caught up. Yeah, probably not.

Thank You Tim The Trainer

I intended to post this yesterday, but I was busy shopping. I needed some new scrubs, and some new work shoes, and Oliver needed treats...all very important things.

But I got to it today.

It's the thank you card I made for Tim the Trainer at PetSmart. He really put in a lot of extra time to help me get Oliver ready for the CGC test. And turns out he really deserved it, because Oliver passed. Man cards are always so difficult. So on this one I used Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake..sounds delicious doesn't it...

I used a clockwork embossing folder in my Cuttlebug for the green. I overlapped a stamp for the top, it's from my new stamp set The Open Sea...look for it on a Father's Day Card coming soon..(hopefully). It's supposed to be a ship ledger or something, I really just wanted something nonspecific to make it a little more interesting.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. And I'm really happy with the dog that Oliver has turned into. He wouldn't have made it this far without the extra help from Tim.

I have another man card coming up in the next day or two...it's ready to be posted. Then I have a couple Father's Day cards to make...

The Fruity Bunch?

I know you probably thought we were done with the fruit, well you'd be wrong.

A coworker friend of mine wanted the complete fruit set, so I made 3 more cards with the 3 other fruit from the Tart n Tangy stamp set.

I really really like them! I'm partial to citrus fruit, but I love these too!

I was concerned about the strawberries, but they turned out to be my favorite I think.

Or maybe the cherries...

It's really hard to decide.

Well I think I'll keep making tons of these, they are super easy. And super cute. Perfect for the nice weather that is supposed to be coming our way...I hope.

Team Rodgers needs some good weather to begin Yard Overhaul 2011.

Oliver is helping me type, so I've got to be going. Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Citrus Thank Yous

Well it snowed/sleeted again last night.

I'm pretty much over the snow and cold.

Perhaps my papercrafting protest will win the weather in my favor..it's not working so far.

Citrus thank you cards. I just love this stamp set. The orange color looks a lot darker than it is.

I stamped the white paper and cut a border on the colored paper.

The lime one is my favorite.

I attached the banner with a brad and raised the fruit up on dimensionals.

The inside is blank. I love these a lot. I love citrus fruit, and can't wait for warmer weather. Even though I know once it's here we'll all just be complaining that it's too hot. I'm ok with that.

Have a great weekend. I've got a challenge lined up to participate in, I haven't started the card yet, but the contest isn't over until Wednesday..plenty of time.

Birdcage Thank Yous

I ended up with a lot of time to scrap this weekend. It's because I have a good husband..and he benefited directly, while I was scrapping he and Oliver were playing video games...well Jon was playing video games, and Oliver was sleeping, because he's useless.

It always seems that when I need to send someone a thank you note I never have one, then I have to hurry and make one. I've been meaning to make myself a little stash..and that's just what I've finally managed to do.

I scrap-lifted this design from a YouTube video I saw by Chick-n-scratch. I love this stamp set and haven't used it much..but now that I'm on a roll all my cards might have these birds on them. I used the SU! In-colors along with Early Espresso.

I had this Thank You stamp that I bought and also haven't had much use for it...it doesn't really fit well on the usual style of card I make..but I think it's perfect for these. The stamp set has a few different cages and also some other birds. It has an owl too..and I love owls.

I was really happy with how these turned out. And I'm really happy that I won't have to rush next time I need a thank you note.

I still have some stuff up my sleeves, some of it might have to wait until I mail it out..but we'll see.

Have a good Monday.

A Few Christmas Thank Yous...

It's been too terribly long, and the sad truth is, that I haven't been crafting very much lately. We've both been busy with work and Christmas shopping (so glad that's over) that in my down time I just want to sleep.

But now hopefully most of the rushing around is over. We'll be moving toward getting ready for our ski trip in February..and with our new camera we should have some nice pictures for you to follow along at home.

But since Christmas is over, I was in need of a few thank you cards..so here we go...

Jonathan did most of this one...I had to help save it a little, but it's mostly his idea. I've been looking for a good use for the reindeer paper, and I think he's found it.

I distressed the edges on all the paper. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I apologize for the yellow-ness...it's overcast today and that's the best I could do. I'm really happy with this one too..it's simple, but doesn't look unfinished.

More edge distressing..I really like it.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good Christmas (I had to work, and was super sick) and is going to have a good New Year's (I have to work..doesn't really seem fair does it..).
I have some Christmas photos and a birthday card or two heading this way, so be on the look out.

Fluffles Thank You Card

As you probably know, I love Fluffles...because he looks like my Bean Cat.

I've been on a thank you card sort of kick lately, it never seems like I have any when I need them, so I thought I'd add another one to my collection. It's not really for anyone, but you never know when you're gonna need one.

I used some of the Stampin Up! In Colors. I used Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait. I colored the image with my Copics, I tried to match the colors the best I could, and I think it worked pretty well.

That's sort of the problem with Stampin Up, they have their own line of colors, and they sell everything that matches them, ink, pens, markers, paper, buttons and everything else. It's nice that you know you can always get stuff that matches, but if you already have markers (like really awesome Copics) then it seems that you can never get a good match. But I really am trying to hold out on getting the Stamp and Write markers (even though I'm thinking about it :-) )

Here's a close up, I made it at night, so the picture is yellow. boo. Anyway, Fluffles is grey (like Bean) and the snail is sort of an orange, to match the Peach Parfait. The flowers are pink to match the Blushing Bride, and I tried to make the grass and stems match the Pear Pizzazz. It always looks better in person.

I used my Cuttlebug with Spellbinders Labels 8 die to cut out the shape on the front, so I thought I'd continue the theme on the inside.

I really like this one, I might make a set of 6 or 8 of these. They went together really fast. The hardest part was the die cutting.

That's it for now, it's about that time again to go to work.

Have a good Thursday.

A Quick Thank You Card

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I did. I am now the proud new owner of a Cuttlebug machine..AND..a Cricut Expressions. My husband gave me the first, and my mother-in-law the second. Of course I've already been playing with them.

I needed to make a thank you card, so I broke out the Cuttlebug.

I embossed on the blue paper and used my glaze pen on the raised parts.

You can't really see, but I stamped "thank you" in white ink. It looks much better in person.

I just wanted to post something really quick...there will be more new creations from the Cuttlebug and Cricut..I'm pretty excited.

See you later.
