Party Cartons

So this week I've been busy making a paper project. I got the idea while surfing the Stampin Up website, they have a die for a die cutter I don't have that cuts out the pattern for this project, so I went to the internet to find a way around that.

I bring you a herd of milk cartons.

I was dying to make something with Stampin Up's new "In colors" because I just love them so. My mother and sister, earlier this week, sent Jonathan and me "invitations" to a "baby shower" held at our house today. It was really just a way to have Panera breakfast, and they brought us some pretty cute dog toys for Oliver too.

Here's a side view of the carton..I used the new colors for the bases, and the trim is Very Vanilla.
It really opens like a milk carton. I put candy in mine. It's so cute, it's perfect for "baby showers" or school parties or anything really.

Since it was a shower for Oliver, I made little dog tags..it was a last minute vision...so in the future it would be a better job, but it got the idea across.

I've got a couple cards waiting in the wings, and I got the last piece for another project that I'll be starting soon...so there's always more to follow.

A Birthday Take on The Southwest

So today I bring you a different kind of paper project.
As I mentioned before my sister-in-law's birthday is this week..and as you may or may not have seen the awesome (if I do say so myself) fairy card I made for her..because that is the theme of her room.
Well...she sings in a Christian rock band and has taken to the stage name "Arizona" so that is the theme for her birthday I guess. We're giving her one of Jonathan's southwestern looking belt buckles that is too small for such a large man..but is great for a 17 year old girl. Well we needed something to put it in..and this morning I had a vision.

I don't usually do "southwest" type things, but I think this color combo works. I used my Gypsy (more on that later) and my Cricut to cut out the box and the tags.
Here's a shot from the top. The tags are 3 circles, a brown one, a blue one and a cream one. well I used the Gypsy to put a letter in the center of the cream circle! Ha..it's the best thing ever!

The R is for Rachel.

And the A is for Arizona! A vision I tell you!

She's still getting the fairy card..and that's just too bad.

Anyway, I just wanted to post this super quick, but now I have to get ready for work.

Have a great day.

Valentines Day Treat Pouches

So Valentine's Day is this weekend, so the next few posts will be concerning that subject..

Since it's Friday, and I won't be working on Sunday I'm taking treats to work today.

I made sour cream containers filled with Hershey's kisses for each of my coworkers..yeah, don't you wish you worked with me...

I took a few pictures so you could really see what they look like. This is from the top, obviously this one is Adam's.
These were really easy to make, however, since I made them yesterday the glue is starting to come apart, I hope they hold long enough for me to get them to work. I guess I'll need another stronger glue if I ever want to make these again...any suggestions?

I made different colors for everyone. These don't have the name tags on them yet, but you get the idea.
YUM! Everybody needs a little emergency chocolate.
I have some extra candy that doesn't fit into the containers, so I made a little box thing to hold the extra. I made 2, but I only took pictures of one. I made this with my Cricut (it's pronounced cricket..like the bug..just in case you didn't know..you know who you are.) I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.

I just stamped something simple onto one of the sides. It was really easy too.

I have some Valentine cards that I made, I'll post them later, I want to make sure they get to their destination before I put them up here, so there is no sneak peak.

The Greeting Farm Sketch 11

Today I have lots of pictures, of the same thing, but whatever.

My little sisters birthday was January 2nd and this is the birthday card/box I made. I used a sketch from The Greeting Farm 12 Days of Challenges.

I used the new Miss Anya Love stamp. I colored her with copic markers of course.

I wish my camera did it justice.. I was pretty happy with this.

This is the inside, I wrote something clever and witty inside..ha.

I made a little bag that I filled with candy. Her nickname is Kage at school..and it fit better than Katie anyway. I used Stickles on the green letters. It looks pretty good in person. The flowers are Primas and I used little silver brads in the center.

I wrapped the handles in orange ribbon.

Here's the whole package. It was pretty fun to make.

Well, I'm not sure what I'll be posting in the near future because I've got a vacation scrapbook to make, I started today and there are going to be many more pages than I originally thought...it's going to take some time.

Anyway have a good one.
