Wild Card Wednesday-Fun Color Challenge

Sorry it's been so long. I simply have not had enough time to scrap..and this makes me sad. I managed to find a little time tonight and last night. I wanted to participate in a challenge, because it's been so long since I have.
So I chose the Club Anya & Friends challenge blog. It happened to be Wild Card Wednesday, and this week it's a color challenge.

This is the original photo for the color challenge. I really chose to pick up on the pillow, with the green, blue and orange..and I like pink, so I used pink too. The way I ended up cutting my patterned paper hid most of the orange, but you get the idea.

I used a stamp from the Miss Anya Rain, Snow, Shine set..(it's the Shine in case you're falling behind). I colored her with Copics on CC Quality cardstock from ATS. I used my Cuttlebug for the ovals.
Here's a side view, I can't wait for our move because I'm going to build a light box and see if that doesn't help make my photos look better.

Here's the inside, it looks very similar to the outside..I find it to be easier that way.

Mother's Day is approaching quickly, I have to work that weekend, but I've already got my cards made..so look for those in a blog post near you.

Fluffles Easter Cards

Easter is almost here, and I've mailed out my cards..so here they are.

I really love this Fluffles image. I colored him with Copics and used SU! paper. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Hobby Lobby. I used my Cuttlebug for the embossing. And a really cute border punch across the bottom.

Hopefully you can see the border better here.

Here's a close-up of the image. He looks like my Bean..but probably doesn't cause as much trouble.

Here's my whole fleet of Easter cards. They all came together really easily once I had the images colored..that took a lot longer than I thought it would.

This is on the inside of some of them..I forgot to take a picture of the other sentiment..but it said something to the effect of having a blessed Easter..

I'm looking forward to Easter. We're planning on going to my mom's for Easter brunch..yum!

We bought a House!

We bought a new house, as most people already know. We're set to close in mid-May. We're beyond excited.
For now I'll only post some outside pictures, since once we get in there and start painting/fixing/working I'll want to do before and after pictures.

This is the front..duh. It's a corner house, so we have a fairly big lot for being in the city. This house was built in 1931, it looks pretty damn good for being that old.

The back yard is pretty good sized too. It has this really really awesome stone fence around it. There's a screened in porch as well as a patio on the side of the house. So it will be perfect for our kitties to enjoy the breeze.

If you don't love this archway then you suck. End of story. This is the best part of the outside. It leans a little, but it's really old. If it get's worse we'll have to look into fixing it..but for now it has "character" :-) We also have a 2 car garage.

We just fell in love with this house, and we can't wait for it to be ours. I'm sure I'll have moving pics and things of that nature. We have about 2 weeks after we get the house before we have to be out of our apartment, so we'll be painting some rooms as well as the kitchen cabinets, so look forward to that.

Easter Easel Card

It's time for a little Easter spirit. I'm not putting up my Easter cards just yet, but I did make a little extra card for someone..and I think it's hilarious.
It's based on this T-shirt at Snorgtees.com. My sister has this shirt so I made this card for her.
You have to look at the t-shirt first, or this just isn't going to be funny.

I laughed the entire time I was putting this card together. I used the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge. And to make the "bites" I used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die. (yeah I'm clever!)

The inside stamp I'm pretty sure came from Hobby Lobby. I used some buttons to hold the card open.

I've been making a few more easel cards, because they're really easy and I love the way they look.
That's all I have for now, I should put some house pictures up soon (yeah we bought a house!) and maybe early next week I'll post the Easter cards I made for my family.

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge-St. Patrick's Day

Since I've put my cards in the mail I thought I'd post it.
This is my entry for the ATS Wednesday Challenge which happens to be St. Patrick's Day.

I used Scottish Ian, because I think he's cute. I neglected to think about how long it would take me to color all the plaid..it was a long time.
I used my Cuttlebut to emboss the orange paper and cut out the white and green. All the paper is by SU!
Martha Stewart makes the punch I used to punch the shamrocks.

I stamped the sentiment twice..once in light green, and once in black. It looks pretty good in person.

I'm going to try to make it to the parade. My little sister is dancing, so maybe I'll get some pictures.

That's all I got for now.

Flower Flower Pot

Today, I bring you the art of someone else.
My husband made this flower pot. It's his first mosaic project...but probably not the last.
I have a flower pot in the works, which I might finish before I die. We started these last year for spring/summer flowers to grow on our deck...since we killed our hanging basket.

Here are a few shots of the pot. I'm not sure what we should plant in it. Something that you can't kill is important.
It's another week before we can seal the pot and plant stuff in it...plus I want to make sure this wonderful warmer weather is here to stay.

A Baby Card

So I realize I'm a giant slacker, and haven't really made anything for a while. I've been working on my St. Patrick's Day cards, but took a little break, or detour or whatever you want to call it to make this baby card.
I like baby cards. I made this for a girl I know who just found out she's having a little boy.
I took a lot of help from the Cricut on this one. I used my New Arrivals cartridge.

All the cardstock is from Stampin' Up! and the patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby. The border punch is also SU! and the sentiment came from The Greeting Farm.

I used a few brads on the wheels and the top of the stroller. I used some pop dots to raise up the stroller.

Here's the inside, I kept it simple so I can write something nice in it.

I was being supervised by Bean while I did this. He is also why I'm not very productive...I waste a lot of time telling him how cute he is.

St. Pat's cards are coming soon, but I can't post them until they go in the mail..or until they're finished :-)
